GET MOTIVATED

GET MOTIVATED

I must admit a small pet peeve I have; people who whine and complain
about how bad this or that is, yet refuse to take positive action to
change anything. For example, I'm sure we all can think of at least one
or two friends or relations who express displeasure in their weight,
yet when you ask them if they are going to exercise and eat healthy so
they can change what distresses them, they have a whole list of reasons
why they can't. "Oh, I hate exercising!" says one lady, "And besides,
where would I find the time?" Or, another person may say, "I'd miss my
nightly pizza and chocolate donuts! Fruits and vegetables just dont cut
it for me."

Then of course, there are the people who say they are willing to do
something about it, but it's always at a later date. "I'll start my
diet tomorrow, but for tonight, its fried chicken, country gravy,
potato salad and fudge brownies", claims another. Of course, when
tomorrow comes, the deed is put off for the next day and the next, and
years later, nothing has changed except the bathroom scale that now
reads 300 pounds.

The above is only one example of how we often procrastinate because we
are unable to motivate (ourselves). The issue here is not dieting, but
can relate to any corner of our life that is robbing us of mind, body
and/or spiritual good health. The unhealthiness may rest in negative
mind-sets, destructive relationships, or even in our lack of
relationship with God.

A better life does not just fall into one's lap. It comes when we have
a clear vision in mind, and work toward a specific goal. What is
necessary, however, is our own motivation; the ability to inwardly tell
ourselves, "This is what I want, and this is what I am going to work
for until it finally happens!"

The same thing is true with one's relationship with God. Why put off
for tomorrow what you can have today?

Dont wait till you are on your death bed to call out to God. Let Him
bless your life as only He alone can do.

Get motivated and invite God in your heart today!
