Amazing!
One person I speak with daily (conversationally) has decided to stop complaining. I neither told them what I was doing on The 40 Day Miracle nor did I tell them to stop complaining.
However, from hearing me give praise in the midst of their diatribe and hearing me speak only life-giving words, they called me the next day and told me they're going to stop being so bitter and angry!
Others have taken note as well. Two of my co-workers, seeing they couldn't get me to co-sign their complaints, stopped complaining. One got off the phone and told me they had to go, and the other - at lunch - told me they need to stop complaining so much! Again, amazing!!
I had become so inured by complaining that I was completely oblivious to how prevalent it was in my daily life (radio, television, conversation, work, church, etc) and how toxic it had become. Complaining begets anger and anger begets dissatisfaction and unhappy states of existence. (Speaking for myself) I even have to readjust my humor because it centers around sarcasm (witty complaints).
My wife even made a comment that made me stop in my tracks.
She said she now understands how money won't make her happy (rather an abundance of it). She said through The 40 Day Miracle, not gossiping or complaining shifts her focus from the external to the internal and not being so externally driven (i.e. money). She also said that not complaining keeps her focus on Gods glory in her life.
I hope she'll get on and give her testimony. I'm not doing it any justice.

PRAYER
Lord, teach us to be humble as we go to You in prayer. Teach us to truly communicate with You so that we can understand our mission and do our best to fulfill Your will.
