Speaking their Language

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.  Psalm 19:1-4

Speaking their Language

When it comes to text messaging, I was far from being among the first to get on board. It didn't take long to realize it was a wise decision. Many of my friends and all of my grandchildren with phones and/or computers were totally into texting. If I wanted to communicate with them, messaging was the answer.

In the book of Psalms, David declares so beautifully that the heavenly handiwork of the Lord speaks to us all. It is awesome to think about going outside at night and seeing the Big Dipper, and knowing it is viewed the same all over the world.

God's primary way of communicating with us is ancient and yet is still the same today. The Bible is in lots of versions, and in hundreds of translations. The Lord is speaking today to us in our own language, and in a version we can easily understand.

How wonderful God still communicates with us this way even now, and also that Holy Spirit brings revelation in each of our languages.

That is such good news.
