READY OR NOT

I bring you good news    Luke 2:10

Ready or Not

Sounds like hide 'n seek, doesn't it? While you were still dashing to find a great hiding spot, the person who was "it" finished counting, and you heard, "Coming! Ready or not!"
I'm not ready for Christmas. But it's coming....ready or not.

Decorations have been up everywhere for weeks. The stores started earlier than ever, it seems, this year. Not just the mall, but little shops, offices, and fast food places. Christmas music was playing before Thanksgiving, even in our local grocery store.

Yes, Christmas is coming, ready or not, and, well...... the baby is coming - ready or not. The Christ child, the long awaited messiah, the baby Jesus.

But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord." (Luke 2:10-11)
Jesus, who cast down His heavenly crown to take up His earthly mission, is continually being born in our hearts. Today, Christmas, every day. Embrace Him. Worship Him. Follow Him.
Ready or not - He is coming! And all we have to do is receive him. That is good news.
