CLOSED UP AND SHUT DOWN

Closed Up and Shut Down
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6
Big, full anemone type flowers in bright, lemon yellows and neon pinks cluster about our front walkway. They really catch the eye, and they thrive in the brutal heat of our tropical days.
At night, however, they close up and shut down. The droopy gray-green succulent leaves look nearly dead. In fact you probably wouldn't even notice them at all.
Have you heard the saying, "Pray at night and give your problems to the Lord; He'll be up all night anyway."
It is so comforting to know that God is never closed up and shut down. (Psalm 121:3...."He who watches over you will not slumber").
That is good news!

PRAYER
"Lord Jesus Christ, you offer us a new birth in the Holy Spirit. Renew in me the gift of faith and new life in your Holy Spirit. Help me to draw near to you and to believe in your life-giving word. May your kingdom come and may your will be done in my life today and always."

I read the story on Tommy by the retired Prof. John Powell on your web site, and
was
deeply touched. I would like to translate it and submit it for publication in a
Chinese
Christian magazine. I believe both Tommy and Prof. Powell would be pleased if this
story
is heard by the world's largest audience.
Can you tell me where I can obtain the permission to translate the article and to
submit
it for publication? Thank you very much in advance.
God bless,
Bao-Ping Zhu
