DON'T LET ME LET THEN DOWN

DON'T LET ME LET THEN DOWN

People think that we don't bleed.

We cry.
We have fears.
We have apprehensions.
We even doubt.

We struggle with the same urges of the flesh.
We fight back the dark thoughts and emotions.

Sometimes some of us are overcome by the lower nature and we
fall headlong into the abyss.

I wish we were perfect.
I wish we didn't err.
I wish we didn't ever hurt others overtly or by omission.

I wish we didn't, but we do.

I wish our marriages were perfect, without strain or conflict.
I wish our bodies didn't tire or hurt.
I wish money magically appeared to cover our shortfalls.

We are full of human frailties and faults in a world where
people expect us to be perfect.

Though we are mere representatives of something higher,
we are sometimes all the people can see.

Lord when they look,

...please don't let me let the people down.

PRAYER
"Lord, fill me with your Holy Spirit that I may radiate the joy of the
gospel to others. May your light and truth shine through me that others
may find new life and freedom from sin and the corruption of evil."
