FIND YOUR FUTURE IN THE LITTLE THINGS!

FIND YOUR FUTURE IN THE LITTLE THINGS!

"It is made of silicon, a chemical element that is more abundant in
nature than any other element except oxygen, so plentiful that it has
no monetary value. But combine silicon with a few grains of sand and
the inventiveness of the human mind and you have created a microchip.
And that microchip can then be used to drive that awesome machine that
has defined this century; a machine that creates trillions of dollars
in wealth with vast savings in physical labor and natural resources; a
machine that can navigate and pilot human beings to the moon; a machine
that can make the wisdom of the ages available at the click of a
button. Roughly every two years, the microchip is doubling in capacity,
enabling us to accomplish even greater things with computers that are
becoming smaller, more manageable and more adaptable. It all begins
with a worthless chemical and a few grains of sand." (From "The
True State of the Planet" by Stephen Moore)

The microchip in our laptop computer shows us how the great events and
moments of life begin with small things. From simple beginnings and
basic ideas begin life's greatest accomplishments and journeys. Faith
is the ability to see the potential in such small things and the
courage and perseverance to unlock that potential. Humanity's dreams
of peace, community and justice will be realized first, in the simple,
basic and small acts of such goodness made by each one of us. Every
tiny word, action or gesture, no matter how small and seemingly
insignificant, has meaning and usefulness in the plan of God.

Without it, the final major event would never come about. Such is
"MUSTARD SEED" faith; that from the smallest and humblest acts of
justice, kindness and compassion, the kingdom of God will grow. Keep
that in mind as you embark on your best Advent yet!

"The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed. It is the smallest of
all the seeds, yet when full grown is the largest of plants."
(Matthew l3:24)

PRAYER
"Lord, fill me with your love and increase my thirst for holiness.
Cleanse my heart of every evil thought and desire and help me to act
kindly and justly and to speak charitably with my neighbor."

Comments:
I love the website and I totally love my daily Food for thoughts that come to me.
I have a special request and I don't know if I will able to receive what I want, but it can't hurt to ask..
On May 5 of 2005, I was scheduled to take my real estate exam for the state I live in.
I woke up early that morning around 6 a.m. Was not scheduled to take the test until 10 a.m.
I was nervous, I was scared and I was just a mess.
I went on my computer and checked my e-mails and lo and behold there was my ever faithful Food for daily thought. This one was titled "An Old Tree".
I started to read it and by the time I was done, I was in tears, and I KNEW at that moment and had NO DOUBT that I would pass that exam. And you know what? I did!!!!!
That daily thought told me what I needed to hear, it made me understand just how loving and caring that God is and I felt almost as if he had written it personally for me and that I needed to hear those words that morning to let me know that I was going to be okay.
And then just last week, I got another significant one. This one was titled "Wait".
Again, I knew my Lord was sending me his word to help me understand why things go as they do sometimes.
If it is possible for me to receive the one titled "An Old Tree", I would be forever grateful.
I looked on the archives on the website and I cannot locate it.
I appreciate any efforts on part to help me locate this one.

Thanks so much and God bless and keep up that wonderful website..
It is a blessing in itself!!!

Bye now..
Peggy
