FOODFORTHOUGHT

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting
God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or
weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to
the weary and increases the power of the weak.

We have all seen power demonstrated and illustrated in many ways.
Maybe at a Monster Truck Show. Perhaps a bulldozer clearing away a
huge mound of dirt or rocks. Or, you may have even seen a large crane
pick up and move a steel beam used in a building project. No matter
what is picked up, the machine-in-action must be stronger, durable
and able to handle the amount of weight being carried or pushed. The
huge object is lifted or pushed right before our eyes and as we watch
carefully, we can see all that is being done and the power used.

I know it must be hard, when we have claimed to see the biggest
machine eve in our lives, to imagine anything being more powerful.
Those machines pick up or push at anything just like a human would be
able to pick up a pencil or notebook. We easily witness man-made
power each day of our lives. We can literally watch the power from
start to finish. We know when the project is done.

There is a power greater than anything in this universe. However,
this power is not visualized by any human being. No can literally see
it and no one can grab onto it with their human hands. We can only
see the effects of it. The power is unstoppable, but is easily
accessed by simply asking for it through prayer. Whenyou are weak,
the power is there to give strength. When there seems to be nohope in
sight, the power creates a just enough light to bring comfort and joy.

We cannot visually see the power of God at work. Theres a song that
says, He works in ways we cannot see, He will make a way for me.
Isnt that so true? God makes ways for us and gives us the strength we
need, when we need it. Its a power we must put our faith into because
it seems to spring up on us many times through our lives. Sometimes,
we have no idea its coming, and then suddenly its at work all around
us. We cannot fathom the greatness of what God can do. All we can do
is believe in it and be thankful He puts it to work right when we
need it.

No amount of power on this earth can possible compare to or equal
the power that lies in the hands of our Almighty God! That is
something we can truly be AWED before!
